Grow in Faith
We always seek to grow closer to God through study and prayer. These adult formation groups allow us to gather to study God’s Word and grow in faith together. For information on our formation program for children and youth, click here.
Women’s Lectionary Bible Study
Our women’s Bible study group meets Wednesday mornings from 10:00 – 11:30. If you are interested in developing a better understanding of our Sunday worship scripture readings in a small group setting, this is the place to be. Our study guide is The Revised Common Lectionary Bible Study by Paraklete Press of California.
Education for Ministry (EfM)
EFM is a four year course discussing the Old Testament, the New Testament, history of Christianity, theological ideas and reflections concerning faith with life experience. Enrollment is for one year at a time. Some students go through all four years in a row, others take some time off between years before returning to their next year of study. Individuals are taught to think critically about their theological views and take leadership in thought, word and deed. Class meets Monday evenings and runs during the school year, August – May. Enrollment opens in late summer for the fall.
Cursillo
Cursillo is a three-day presentation designed to build enthusiasm for and to renew your commitment to your faith. It is especially helpful for those who take an active role somewhere in the life of the congregation. Why? History has shown us that people who attend Cursillo return from the event highly motivated with a strong desire to serve in the parish and share their experience.
Faith Church participates in the Northern California Cursillo, usually held in late spring. Contact us for more information and/or visit the Northern California Episcopal Cursillo website.
Daughters of the King
The international Order of the Daughters of the King is a lay religious order for women. Women in the Order are communicants of the Episcopal Church and churches in communion with it – Anglican, Lutheran (ELCA), and Roman Catholic.
