I'm New

Worship at Faith Church may be described as “relaxed formality”.  We combine The Book of Common Prayer and The Hymnal 1982.  The music is a blend of contemporary Christian songs and traditional hymns.  Services are projected on state of the art screens to facilitate worship.

Service Times

Sunday Mornings

8:00 am – A worship service with communion and a blend of contemporary and traditional music.

10:00 am – A worship service with communion and a blend of contemporary and traditional music.   We also have a full complement of Children’s services at this time that includes nursery and toddler care and Sunday school for students in Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grades.

What To Expect

Dress

Wear what is most comfortable for you.  Some people dress casually, others dress more formally.

Parking

We have a large parking lot that provides easy access to doors on both sides of the building. Entrance is off Country Club Drive.

Handicap parking is clearly marked.

Worship Service

When you arrive a greeter will welcome you and provide you with any information you may need.

An usher will greet you and give you a bulletin packet which contains information on upcoming events, a donation envelop, new member cards and name tags.

You are invited to sit anywhere in the church and join in our worship.

We stand and sit to worship. We do not have kneelers in our worship area.

Please know that we use wheat bread and real wine for Communion.   Gluten free hosts are available from the presiding priest in the main aisle.

If you prefer not to take Communion, please come forward and cross your arms over your chest to receive a blessing.

Children

Nursery & toddler care is available from 9:30 a.m. until the end of the service.  Parents need to sign their child in and out at the entrance to the nursery.

If your children want to attend Sunday School, come a little early so that we can introduce you and your child/youth to our staff and help you find the various classrooms.  Children and their parents sit together in the Sanctuary for the beginning of the service. Students are then dismissed to Sunday School and rejoin their families in time for Communion.

Children can also remain in the service with their parents, if preferred.  A Children’s Worship cubby is located in the back of the sanctuary.  Parents may help children select from interesting activities to use in their seat, during the service.

Feel free to contact the church and speak to the Director of Christian Formation before your visit, if desired.

Please visit our Children and Youth page for more information on our programs.

Hospitality

Please join us after the service for coffee and cookies.  We would like to get to know you.  Greeters, ushers and other members of the parish will introduce you.

30 Minutes of Faith

Between the 8:00 and 10:00 service we have a 30 Minute of Faith small group discussion.  Topics may include the Sunday readings or a discussion on a specific spiritual topic and on occasion a chance to get an update on parish activities.  This 30 Minutes is usually led by our Pastor, but may be led by a lay member of the church.  You are welcome to join in.

Special Services

In addition to special services for Easter, Christmas and other holidays, Faith is also available for weddings, baptisms, funerals, and other major events in your life. Please contact us to speak to someone about planning a service at Faith Episcopal Church.
