worship

Worship at Faith Church may be described as “relaxed reverence”.  We combine The Book of Common Prayer and The Hymnal 1982.  The music is a blend of contemporary Christian songs and traditional hymns.  Services are projected on state of the art screens to facilitate worship.

Service Times

Sunday Mornings

10:00 am – A worship service with communion and a blend of contemporary and traditional music.

What To Expect

Dress

Wear what is most comfortable for you.  Some people dress casually, others dress more formally.

Parking

We have a large parking lot that provides easy access to doors on both sides of the building. The entrance is off Country Club Drive.  Handicap parking is clearly marked.

Worship Service

When you arrive at the door, a greeter will welcome you.  The sanctuary entrance is to the right side of a large rotunda gathering area.  There you will find ushers and a welcome table.  The ushers will give you information about upcoming events and if needed, get a hearing assistance device for you.

You are invited to sit anywhere in the church and join in our worship. We stand and sit to worship. We do not have kneelers in our worship area.

Please know that we use wheat bread and real wine for Communion.   Gluten free hosts are available from the presiding priest in the main aisle.

If you prefer not to take Communion, please come forward and cross your arms over your chest to receive a blessing.

Children & Youth

Families will find comfortable spaces inside the sanctuary with rocking chairs, pillows and room for toddlers to crawl around.   Children and youth are welcome to stay in the service with their parents or join in Sunday School.

Children and their parents sit together in the Sanctuary for the beginning of the service and a slide will signal the time for children to move into the Sunday School classroom.  Children rejoin their families in time for communion.

Please visit our Children and Youth page for more information.  Feel free to contact the church and speak to the Director of Christian Formation before your visit, if desired.

Hospitality

Please join us after the service for coffee and cookies.  We would like to get to know you.  Greeters, ushers and other members of the parish will say hello and help you find the hospitality area.

Special Services

In addition to special services for Easter, Christmas and other holidays, Faith is also available for weddings, baptisms, funerals, and other major events in your life. Please contact us to speak to someone about planning a service at Faith Episcopal Church.
