Who We Are
Faith Episcopal Church is a community where God is worshiped in the Episcopal tradition. Conveniently located off Highway 50 in Cameron Park we draw members from many of the surrounding communities in the Sierra foothills and below. Children are always visible at Faith Church, and our programs for toddlers to young adults reflect our commitment to their growth and development. We are a parish that focuses on our spiritual development and mission work, both local and international. Our membership is as diverse as the communities we serve and our ministries and programs encourage fellowship across all generations.
Faith Episcopal Church is conveniently located off of Highway 50 in the scenic Sierra foothills of Cameron Park. We are a parish church in the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. Our Diocese covers most of northern California (excluding San Francisco and the Bay Area) and includes 60+ locations.
To be a welcoming and safe place to worship, love and serve all.
Together all generations experience:
- God’s love in worship
- Growing in faith
- Hope by serving
Faith strives to be friendly, relaxed, and open to newcomers. While we take our faith very seriously, we are much more casual about the mechanics of practicing that faith.
Our all-purpose building, which we moved into in February 2003, now allows a space that will accommodate over 500 people and we often host special services regionally for our Diocese and the community at large on 10 beautiful acres. The property is poised for growth to increase our parish services and focus on youth and families, now and in the years ahead.
Faith was a mission church of the Diocese from 1992 to 2001, and we incorporated as a parish in the Spring of 2001.
In the fall of 1991 a small group of people began meeting in Kent and Kathy McNair’s house to dream and plan for a new Episcopal Church in El Dorado County.
Soon a store front was secured and Faith Episcopal Church was born on Easter Sunday 1992, as a Mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California.
On March 16, 2001, Faith Church became a Parish of the same Diocese.
Our permanent building was completed in 2003 on a 10 acre site that allows for expansion.
