Where are we now?Â
Starting as a storefront congregation in Cameron Park, Faith Episcopal Church moved into its present building in 2003. We are still paying on the debt from our mortgage as well as the solar panels that were installed in 2017.
What do we hope to accomplish?
At our present rate, we have two more years before we can direct funds away from debt and toward more dynamic purposes. But what if we didn’t have to wait two more years? We hope to reach our dream of a debt-free church much sooner!
What’s our dream?
20% of all pledged income currently goes toward our capital debt.
Imagine what it would mean if we could redirect that 20% toward ministry events and programs, children’s ministry, staff support, and long-delayed projects.
How much do we still owe, and if we keep going at our present rate, when will we pay off our debt?
As of May 2025 our balance will be:
   Building $121,603.47
   Solar $18,725.46
   TOTAL $140,328.93
At our present rate, we will finish in May 2027, two years from now.
How can we accomplish our goal?
We’re currently paying over $6,200 per month toward our capital debt, but we have an opportunity to pay it off early without penalty. What if everyone was inspired to double their capital pledge this year? This would mean that we could pay off our debt in one year instead of two.
How can you participate?
During this capital campaign, everyone will receive a pledge card for the period June 2025 – May 2026. We would also like you to write down your dreams for what our church could do after becoming debt-free in our “dream catcher” box.
What’s ahead?
From March 30 through April 20, you will hear more about dreaming for our future, and how we can reach for it. We will be making new pledges for this dream and prayerfully dedicating them on Sunday, May 4.
